I am currently a first year general surgical SpR in the North West Thames region working at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

I originally hail from the North but trained in Oxford and did my BST rotation at Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester. I then departed for warmer climes and spent a year working at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Australia before coming home to do an MD at St Mark's Colorectal Hospital, Harrow.

I spent six months working as a surgical registrar in Zimbabwe before taking up my SpR number in October 2005. My involvement with ASIT was initially as a council member representing the Dukes' Club for Colorectal Trainees.

I look forward to representing the views of all surgical trainees in the forthcoming year, in my capacity as Vice President.
