Regional Representatives
Mersey
Mersey has a proud tradition of involvement with ASiT, including three past Presidents and the current President. Regionally there have been annual meetings, in addition to the bi-monthly education days. The function of the Regional Rep is to have a 3-way liason between the national ASiT Committee, the local STEC and the regional trainees.
We aim to be inclusive and it is a shame that it is the 'usual names' who are most active and vocal. Rest assured that we are here to represent all surgical trainees in the region, even though there is a bias towards General Surgery. We welcome views and help from anyone who is concerned enough to express an opinion.
