This popular one-day course will equip senior medical student and junior doctors with many of the fundamental techniques required for success the early years of surgery. Topics include sterile technique and gloving, safe surgical practice, suturing, knot-tying, applying a plaster and many more.

Using sound educational principles, this course will address the Knowledge, Clinical Skills, Technical Skills, and Professional Skills required in the early years of Surgical Specialist Training (as linked to the ISCP curriculum), yet will also provide transferable skills for those with an interest in General Practice, A&E, Obs&Gynae, and Anaesthesia.
