ASiT Surgical Teacher Training Course

This course can be booked through the on-line conference registration system
This course will focus on providing delegates with information on teaching techniques, including preparation for teaching, teaching delivery, and appraisal of teaching.
The workshop will feature a mix of talks, samples of teaching techniques, and practical sessions with delegate interaction and feedback.
Aspects of delivering large and small group teaching will be covered, and many aspects of educational deliery will be covered in a similar vein to other courses such as the ATLS instructors course.
The faculty will be composed of trainers experienced in educational teaching delivery and who have been instrumental in delivering teaching within surgery for several years.
Delegates will require to prepare a microteaching session lasting no more than 7 minutes, and a skills teaching session lasting no more than 7 minutes. These will be on non-clinical topics of your choice. Full details will be emailed to registered delegates by Friday 5th March 2010.
