Social Programme
Our social programme receives just as much care and attention as the conference itself. This year we are introducing a new free Drinks Reception on the Friday night following our pre-conference courses. We hope this will encourage both those attending the Friday courses and early arrivals to come and socialise.
Civic Reception, Feren's Gallery, Friday 12th March, 5.30pm-7.00pm
There will be a Civic Reception held at Feren's Art Gallery including wine and canapes for all ASiT members arriving on the Friday evening or who have attended pre-conference courses on the Friday. This will give delegates the opportunity to mingle, meet a friend, and organise your dining and entertainment plans for the Friday evening. We are privileged to have the Lady Mayoress of Kingston-upon-Hull present to welcome the conference to her city.
We will be serving award-winning wines from Australia and New Zealand.
ASiT Gala Dinner, Saturday 13th March 2010
Hull Guildhall
7.30pm Wine Reception for dinner at 8pm
Dress: Black Tie Preferable
The historic Guildhall in Kingston-upon-Hull will host the ASiT Gala Dinner on Saturday 13th March 2010, with a drinks reception followed by an exquisite 4 course meal including top-quality wines from international award winning Australian winemaker Ben Glaetzer. Entertainment will follow at the Guildhall with the fabulous SERIOUS Hat Band. As usual, a professional photographer will be present to capture the evening.

Fillet Steak wrapped in Parma Ham stuffed with a wild mushroom duxelle

The SERIOUS Hat Band have played well over 2000 gigs, up and down the UK and across Europe. We've played for many distinguished corporate clients including Lotus Cars, News International, IBM, Tesco and the BBC. We've topped the bill at Cowes Week, playing to 6000 people. And over the years, we've performed with Robbie Williams, Westlife, Rob Brydon and Michael Ball to name but a few.
This band have previously played at numerous ASiT Conferneces and know our crowd well. They have an extensive repetoire of songs, but if you know of any requests that you have specifically they are open to learning your choice of songs!! Click here to see what they can play....
