ASiT Advanced Laparoscopic Fellowship - Elancourt 2009

ASiT and Covidien are pleased to announce the Advanced Laparoscopic Fellowship in Elancourt, Paris for 2009.  This is open to 20 senior trainees looking to consolidate previous experience.  The two day fellowship will run on Tuesday 1st and Wednesday 2nd December, with successful candidates travelling to Elancourt on Monday 30th November.  Covidien will cover all costs of travel to and from the UK, accomodation in Paris, all meals and use of their facilities in Elancourt.

10 places are available to Colorectal trainees and 10 places for Upper GI trainees with a interest in bariatric/metabolic surgery.  The provisional programmes for the two course can be accessed by clicking these links:

Applicants should have a proven interest in these specialties and places will be awarded based on merit (including logbook and research interest) and seniority - applicants should be in the final two years of their training or post-CCT.  Applicants must also be FULLY PAID UP MEMBERS OF ASiT AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION.  Membership status will be checked after the deadline has closed and non-members will be rejected.  If you are not sure of your membership status or whether you have paid for this year, please check by emailing smercer@asgbi.org.uk

- Your CV (including only your RELEVANT logbook)
- A letter of support from your educational supervisor, consultant or programme director
- A statement of no more than 250 words explaining why you should be chosen for the fellowship
