Survey - Early Versus Late Specialisation

Dear Colleague,

I am a Specialist Registrar in General Surgery. I am undertaking a Masters in Surgical Education Programme (MEd) at Imperial College London.

I would like to ask you to participate in my Masters Research project by completing a short survey that seeks your views of current Breast Surgery Training within the General Surgery framework in the UK. I am interested in what you consider to be the advantages and disadvantages of early versus late specialisation as well as the factors that you consider important in a specialist training programme.

It is hoped that results from this survey will contribute to the understanding of the process of specialisation and how it might be supported through training. Results of this study will contribute to my Masters Dissertation and possibly peer-reviewed publication.

Your participation is completely voluntary but very much appreciated. It will only take you up to 5 minutes to complete the questionnaire. Your responses will be confidential and anonymised. This project underwent successful review through the Gwent Healthcare NHS Trust Research Risk Review Committee (RRRC) (RD/751/09).

If you are willing to participant in this survey, please click on the link below:

Yours sincerely,
