General Surgeons and Trauma

The following survey is for the attention of General Surgical trainees of Registrar level. I am currently carrying out a survey of surgical registrars to determine the level of exposure we have to trauma surgery in the UK, and the thoughts of registrars in the system. My presumption is that training in trauma surgery is very limited due to the low numbers of patients with traumatic injuries requiring general surgical intervention. This is limiting for those who have an interest in trauma and is a source of concern in terms of the provision of a trauma surgery service to those who require it. This survey aims to get a general consensus of opinion regarding training and exposure to trauma surgery and hopefully will provide some useful data which can be used to suggest changes in training. I would appreciate it if any general surgical registrars who read this would click on the link and fill in the survey. It takes approximately one minute and is painless. Many thanks for your time.
