Transmedics Organ Care Systemâ„— (OCS™) is the world’s first CE-marked, portable warm blood perfusion system for use in organ transplantation. The OCS is designed to improve patient outcomes and increase the utilization of consented organs.

We are looking for highly enthusiastic and talented clinical candidates to join our team and help revolutionize transplantation medicine. The successful candidates will receive focused training on our state-of-the-art Organ Care System (OCS) and then travel to clinical trial sites and commercial locations to assist and train transplant teams in OCS utilization. This is an excellent opportunity to gain significant transplantation experience with multiple organs as the OCS expands from heart transplantation to other organs such as lungs, livers, and kidneys. The successful candidates will join a growing team of talented individuals from a variety of medical, scientific, and technical backgrounds within a fast-paced and dynamic medical device company. This is a hands-on role that will expose you to a wide variety of techniques across TransMedics’ proprietary products and platforms. You will also have the opportunity to selectively publish the results of your research.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in pre-clinical research and development activities for the OCS, summarize and interpret data, and present results at team and cross-functional meetings
- Perform initiation and provide continued operational support at one or more clinical trial sites
- Participate in training and supervising other researchers, clinical staff, and others as needed including the design, development and execution of both didactic and clinical training programs
- Participate in data management for the pre-clinical development activities for the OCS
- Participate in medical and scientific conferences and scientific meetings
- Work with a cross-functional team of mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to further develop the OCS
Qualifications:
- BS/MS degree in nursing, biology, life sciences or related field, medical degree preferred.
- 2 years experience as a surgeon, cardiovascular surgery nurse, or physician assistant.
- Experience in cardiothoracic intensive care and/or managing patients on ventilator support and telemetry a plus along with transplant experience.
- Foreign language skills, particularly German, Italian, French, and Spanish, a plus
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time. This position is located in the USA in the state of Massachusetts
Knowledge of statistics and the ability to interpret experimental data to summarize the key findings required
