You are invited to the inaugural meeting of the Society of British Neurosurgical Surgeons (SBNS) and The Neurology and Neurosurgery Student Interest Group (NANSIG) at the The Royal College of Surgeons in London.
This meeting is open to all medical students and foundation trainees.
Senior Neurosurgeons will talk on:

o Selection into Neurosurgery
o ‘A week in the life of a neurosurgeon’
o Women in Neurosurgery
o Neurosurgery in 2025
Trainee Neurosurgeons will talk on:
o Junior (ST3) Trainee
The first three years: did I make the right decision?
o Senior (Final year) Trainee
Looking forward to consultant practice
Foundation trainess will talk on:
o Exposure to neurosurgery as a medical student
o Overseas neurosurgery elective experience
There will also be:
o 3D video operative presentations
o Round table Q & A Session
o Interactive quiz
o Informal contacts with SBNS members
For those interested, if you have any relevant work you wish to present (10 minutes) please submit an abstract to Suzanne Murray by email to admin@sbns.org.uk by 1st October 2010. The best presentation will be given a prize.
A certificate of attendance will be given to all attendees.
