Advanced Laproscopic Skills Course, 9th December 2008


ASiT and Covidien are pleased to announce the first dedicated ASiT/Covidien advanced practical laparoscopic course in Covidien’s labs in Elancourt.  Two courses will be run simultaneously on Monday 15 and Tuesday 16 December 2008, one for senior colorectal trainees and one for upper GI trainees with an interest in bariatric surgery.  The draft programme for each course is shown below and each course can accept 10 delegates.  Covidien have kindly agreed to cover all costs including flights, local transfers in Paris, accommodation, meals and refreshments.

Applications can now be made by emailing your CV, a copy of your relevant logbook and preferably a letter of support from your educational supervisor to whawkins@doctors.org.uk, please include the word ‘Elancourt’ in the message title.  Applicants MUST be a member of ASiT and in the last two years of training.  Preference will be given to those in the final year of training and those with a letter of support.  Applications must be received no later than 5pm on Friday 17 October 2008.
