Webinar 8: "ASiT COVID-STAR Survey - The Results"

Webinar 7: "Sustainability in Surgery"
Description: Join us for another informative session in ASiT's webinar series to find out how to improve the sustainability of your clinical practice as a surgical trainee. We will be hearing from Miss Chantelle Rizan (Surgical Fellow at the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare) who will provide an overview of how you can reduce your carbon footprint in the surgical workplace. We are also delighted to welcome Professor Mahmood Bhutta (Founder of the BMA Medical Fair and Ethical Trade Group) who will discuss labour rights abuse within the healthcare supply chain and Miss Victoria Pegna (surgical trainee and Vice-Chair of the Sustainability in Surgery working group at RCSEng) who will discuss opportunities and challenges surrounding sustainability.

Webinar 2: "Data-driven decision making for surgery during the COVID-19 pandemic: Perspectives for trainees"
Description: CovidSurg is a global collaborative which has now collected data on 10,000 patients across 550 hospitals in 70 countries. Join us for discussion of their new analysis accepted for publication in the Lancet, including the reporting of outcomes of 1900 patients with SARS-CoV-2 infection perioperatively. We will also reflect on the modelling study of elective cancellations during the peak phase of the pandemic, and its impact on clinical practice and surgical training.
