ASiT statement regarding Junior Doctors Contract
22/06/2019
Dear Members,

The Association of Surgeons in Training (ASiT) is an independent professional body and registered charity which represents all surgical sub-specialities and works to promote the highest standards in surgical training. ASiT is not a trade union and therefore is not involved in industrial relations. However, ASiT and the BMA Junior Doctors Committee do have reciprocal, invited seats on each other’s councils but do not have voting privileges.

The referendum on the new junior doctor’s contract closes next Tuesday June 25th. Full details of the deal under consideration can be found here: https://www.bma.org.uk/collective-voice/influence/key-negotiations/terms-and-conditions/junior-doctor-contract-negotiations/proposed-new-contract-deal-for-junior-doctors

We encourage you to register and participate in the democratic process.
