Dear ASiT member,
We are pleased to launch the Association of Surgeons in Training (ASiT) yearbook competition for 2017. The theme of the yearbook for 2017 is #AdvancesIn…. and has a focus on the fast paced and changing world of surgery.
Rather than an essay, this year we are looking for a digital image to represent an area of advancement in surgery. This might be representative of equal opportunities in surgery, a new technique/technology or improvements in surgical training. Your image may represent an aspiration for the future and your hope for the future of surgery or surgical training. Images representing any surgical specialty will be considered.
All images should be original and supplied in a jpeg or tiff format with a minimum 300dpi resolution and should appear no more than 100% larger than their original size. Images may be manipulated using software.
Please supply your image with a tweet style caption starting with “#Advances In… “ to explain your image.
By entering the competition, you agree to the Association of Surgeons In Training using your image on the cover of the yearbook or within the yearbook, any electronic versions of the yearbook and on the ASiT website. The top 3 winning entries will be printed in the yearbook and the first place winning entry will be used on the cover. Please ensure that you have appropriate permissions from anyone featured in your image and that any patients have given consent for the image using your Trust’s medical photography consent policy. The image should not include any patient identifiable information.
ASiT reserve the right to not use any of the competition entries as the yearbook front cover in case of unsuitability.
The competition is now open. Please send your entries to email@example.com with the title “ASiT 2017 Yearbook Competition” in the subject line and the accompanying entry form completed.
The entry form can be downloaded HERE
The closing date for the competition is Friday 6th January 2017.
Winners will be announced by 1st February 2017.
