The National Orthopaedic Trainees Collaborative is soon to begin data collection for the ATILLA Study-Administration of Tranexamic Acid (TXA) in Lower Limb Arthroplasty.
The project aims to establish current practice for Tranexamic Acid administration in patients undergoing primary lower limb arthroplasty (Total Hip Replacement/Total Knee Replacement/Unicompartmental Knee Replacement procedures).
Data collection for this snapshot audit will be undertaken from 03.09.2018 to 17.09.2018. ATILLA represents a quick win for collaborators. Deadline for data submission is 28.09.2018. Results will be interpreted alongside a Cochrane Network Meta-Analysis and will help guide further trial design or guideline implementation.
Credit will be given to all collaborators when publishing, according to ASiT guidelines published in the IJS https://doi.org/10.1016/j.ijsu.2017.12.019
