Are you a member of a student Surgical Society?
Make sure your society is signed up with the ASiT Battle of the Medical Student Surgical Society Competition!
What is it?
ASiT believes that a career in surgery starts at an undergraduate level, which is why we provide a range of opportunities for medical students. We are launching a new exciting competition - the Battle of the Student Surgical Societies! Develop a proposal (500 words max.) for a surgical training event you want to run in your region and submit your proposal to ASiT (info@ASiT.org). Please expand on the benefits of your event to attendees, any invited speakers, how you’re planning on delivering the event etc. The top five proposals will be invited to a finale at the ASiT conference in Edinburgh 2018 and judged in live voting by the audience. The top scoring proposal will receive funding (£500) to run the event in your region.
Eligibility Criteria: All those applying from the surgical society committee must be ASiT members. At least 20 members of the surgical society must be ASiT members and all attendees at the event must be ASiT members. The event must be free of charge for ASiT student members.
