George Neelankavil Davis

George is currently an ST4 in General Surgery with an interest in Gastrointestinal Surgery and General Surgery of Childhood. He is an International Medical Postgraduate having completed a master’s in surgery from India. George has held various leadership positions in India including College Union General Secretary and Vice President of the National Students’ Wing of Indian Medical Association. George spent his first 4 years in NHS as a staff grade registrar where he was keenly involved in various International Medical Graduate forums. George was the chair of the Overseas Staff Support Network for the trust where he worked where he helped with the recruitment and safe transition of Overseas staff. George is doing LLM in Healthcare Law and Ethics and is passionate about ED&I activities. In his spare time, he likes doing voluntary charity work, playing badminton and football, and watching movies. George joins the council from the North of Scotland and is keen on promoting Rural and Remote surgery.
