Manal Ahmad

Yearbook Editor and App Lead

Manal is a Vascular Surgery trainee registrar in the London deanery. She is currently undertaking her PhD at Imperial College London. She completed her Foundation and Core Surgical training in Northern Ireland before moving to London. She has undertaken a Masters in Medical Sciences from the National University of Ireland, Galway opting to explore patient safety and human errors during her degree alongside her primary project. She also completed her PG Cert in Medical Education from the University of Bristol and is a member of the Academy of Medical Educators. She has organised several RCS accredited courses and supervised multiple BSc projects as well as teaching anatomy and tutoring for the ChM University of Edinburgh/RCSEd degree. 

Manal was elected to the ASiT Council as the North West Regional Representative in 2022 and was subsequently elected to the ASiT Executive council as the Yearbook and App Lead in 2024. Prior to this, she also served on the BMA Junior Doctors Committee. She is passionate about novel technologies and AI, improving surgical training, promoting equity and accessibility, medical education, gamification.
